Project Sponsorship Activities Develop and support initial scopes and business cases for I&RM projects. Actively sponsor projects from initiation through execution and operational review. Manage portfolios often exceeding $100MM, including pipeline replacements, recoating, hydrotests, hazard remediation, and cathodic protection. Oversee project sponsorship: RFPs, risk evaluations, funding, scope/cost/schedule approvals, and change management. Contribute to annual capital budgets and Long Range Plans (LRP), applying risk-informed decision-making tools. Due Diligence Assurance Activities Ensure I&RM is integrated into due diligence for internal developments and acquisitions. Develop and execute I&RM plans and budgets, including engineering studies and lifecycle costs. Support integrity design standards throughout development/acquisition phases. Provide technical support for pipeline and terminal development initiatives. Represent I&RM in corporate initiatives and secure senior leadership approvals. Strategic Asset Management Representation Communicate and integrate Integrity plans across pipeline operations. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., asset management, regulators, customers). Serve as I&RM asset lead for one or more pipeline systems. Promote interdepartmental collaboration and maintain strong relationships. Project Management Responsibilities Foster a safe work environment and drive safety accountability. Manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk for assigned projects. Monitor project performance and communicate updates. Handle procurement processes and contractor coordination. Oversee construction progress and documentation. Build collaborative relationships with project partners. Team Member Expectations Independently handle complex technical assignments and make sound decisions. Support or lead development of Systems Integrity processes and documentation. Mentor and train staff, contractors, and consultants. Maintain a network of industry-leading consultants and suppliers. Monitor industry innovations and influence standards.
