The Pipeline Business Manager is a key enabler of digital transformation across the Global Breeding pipeline in R&D. This role leads the design and implementation of advanced analytics tools and planning systems that connect R&D, operations, and logistics. With a strong foundation in data engineering, business intelligence, and DevOps, the business Manager ensures seamless integration of digital platforms, drives automation, and delivers insights that improve planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment. 

 

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

 

Digital Tool Implementation & Integration:

Implement and expand End to End digital systems to automate planning workflows globally, integrating workflows across Create, Evaluate & Produce;Work closely with scientists and digital/data teams to help establish real-time tracking of on-time and complete metrics across regions;Assist in the strategy, requirements and rollout of new global Long- Range Planning (LRP) tools for all crops to enhance the accuracy of LRP;Develop additional operational IT business workflows with stakeholders for advanced data platforms and analytical methods.

Data Engineering & BI Development:

Ensure data integrity and integration across systems (e.g., Velocity, SDS, PDS, NDS) by collaborating with data engineering and IT teams;Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions and improve processes.

DevOps & Agile Delivery:

Participate in agile project delivery, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stakeholder demos;Offer expertise to help optimize resources and enhance project success.

Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement:

Drive adoption of digital tools through training, documentation, and continuous feedback loops;

Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users to ensure alignment and value delivery;

Serve as primary contact between IT and business users and enhance business awareness of IT project deliverables by developing communication plans and project updates;

Develop training, communication, and adoption strategies for new tools;

 

Collaborate with  BI Analysts and Product Owners to ensure successful rollout and user engagement.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?

 

Education and Experience: An advanced degree (PhD) in agronomy, plant science, data science, plant breeding, quantitative genetics, experimental design, statistical analysis, engineering, or a related field, accompanied by a  relevant experience. Alternatively, a Master’s degree (MS) with  relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree (BS).Professional Experience: Experience in business intelligence (BI), analytics, or digital transformation.Familiarity with Technologies: Experience working with Azure, DevOps tools, and agile methodologies;Project Management Knowledge: Understanding of various project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.Resource Optimization Skills: Ability to efficiently optimize resources for effective project execution;Monitoring and Reporting Expertise: Proficient in tracking project progress and generating comprehensive status reports;Stakeholder Engagement Skills: Strong communication skills for effectively engaging stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle;

 

Risk Management Knowledge: Ability to identify and mitigate project risks effectively;Strategic and Tactical Thinking: Capacity to approach challenges with both short-term tactical and long-term strategic perspectives;Leadership Abilities: Proven capability to guide teams and ensure successful project execution;Organizational Skills: Competence in managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively;Availability to work in Paulínia or São Paulo.
