Where is the work:
On-Site (5 days)
This role offers a combination of workshop-based fabrication and site installation work. Experience in TIG welding and pipework is valuable and provides the opportunity to contribute to a variety of practical, hands-on projects within a collaborative team environment.
The purpose of the role is to maximise productivity, enhance the customer experience, and support continuous improvement in operational technical processes.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose system issues during pipework installation and equipment testingCarry out modifications, repairs, and installation adjustments to meet specific customer requirements, both on-site and within the depotCollaborate with hire and service desks, Sales, and Operations teams to build strong communication channels and share relevant customer insightsUse advanced software, diagnostic technology, and a range of hand tools, while working from blueprints, isometric drawings, and engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair unitsCommunicate effectively with supervisors, regional hire and operations managers, senior technicians, and customers to provide updates and support continuous improvementTechnical Knowledge and Experience
Strong knowledge of, and experience in, pipefitting, TIG welding, or closely related mechanical fabrication workPractical experience in stainless steel pipework fabrication and installationEffective communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityHigh attention to detailProficiency in apps, diagnostic software, and Microsoft Office SuiteSkills and Capabilities
Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is advantageousStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and collaborative approachRelevant trade-based or technical certifications are advantageousGas Safe and F-Gas qualifications are advantageousFlexibility to cover standby and call-out duties on a planned rota, including weekdays, weekends, and bank holidaysFull UK driving licence, as a company vehicle will be providedRight to work in the country of applicationWe offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
