Job Title: Pipe Welder $50/hr and $140 in per diem

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder with at least five years of industrial or naval experience in a first-class capacity. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to perform multi-pass, all-position fillet, and butt welds using both the SMAW and GTAW processes.

This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, Virginia.

ResponsibilitiesPerform multi-pass, all-position fillet and butt welds using the SMAW process.Fuse inserts and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper nickel pipe using SMAW and GTAW processes.Execute mirror welding using both SMAW and GTAW processes.Utilize fillet gauges, butt gauges, and a six-inch scale accurately.Adhere to OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry.

This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, Virginia.

Essential SkillsProficiency in pipe welding, stick welding (SMAW), tig welding (GTAW), and mirror welding.Experience in physically demanding environments such as shipboard, sub-assemblies, ladders, and staging.Familiarity with OSHA regulations in the shipbuilding industry.Work Environment

This role requires working in physically demanding and confined spaces both on board naval ships and within a shop environment. Candidates must be comfortable climbing up and down ladders and stairs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
