**Commercial Pipe Fitter** **Job Description** Join our team in constructing / remodeling the Austin convention center. This role involves working with carbon and steel pipefitting, focusing on chilled water systems and carbon steel piping ranging from 4 to 30 inches. **Responsibilities** + Perform carbon and steel pipefitting on chilled water systems. + Work with piping sizes ranging from 4 to 30 inches. + Adapt quickly to changing project needs and assist in various tasks as necessary. + Maintain a positive attitude and ensure work is completed efficiently. + Operate safely at heights and outdoors, including on rooftops. Essential Skills + 2-5 years of commercial service pipefitting experience. + Proficiency in plumbing, service plumbing, pipe fitting, and welding. + Ability to read blueprints and perform fabrication and fitting. + Comfortable working in small spaces and with plumbing fixtures such as sinks and toilets. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with copper and carbon steel pipefitting. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role involves working outdoors on commercial construction projects, primarily from Monday to Friday, 6 am to 3 pm, with potential for Saturday work and overtime. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
