Pickleball Teaching Professional

La Paloma Country Club seeks a passionate and skilled Pickleball Teaching Professional to join our team. As the Pickleball Teaching Pro, you will lead all pickleball instructional programs, organize events, and provide exceptional coaching to players of all skill levels. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, helping players improve their game and fostering a vibrant pickleball community.

$14.35 per hour + lesson commissions

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive pickleball instructional programs catering to players of all ages and skill levels.
2. Conduct private and group lessons, clinics, and workshops to improve players' techniques, strategies, and overall game performance.
3. Organize and oversee pickleball tournaments, leagues, and social events to promote player engagement and community building.
4. Provide players personalized feedback and guidance, identifying improvement areas and developing customized training plans.
5. Stay current with industry trends, teaching methodologies, and rules/regulations of pickleball to enhance coaching effectiveness.
6. Communicate regularly with the Director of Racquet Sports to coordinate scheduling, program development, and operational logistics.
7. Collaborate with the Country Club management team to promote pickleball offerings and attract new members to the sport.
8. Maintain pickleball equipment, including courts, nets, paddles, and balls, ensuring they are in optimal condition for play.
9. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game among players.

Qualifications:
1. USAPA (USA Pickleball Association) certification as a Teaching Professional or equivalent qualification preferred.
2. Proven experience in teaching pickleball lessons and coaching players of varying skill levels.
3. Strong understanding of pickleball rules, strategies, and techniques, with a passion for sharing knowledge and fostering player development.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds.
5. Organizational skills with the ability to plan and execute instructional programs, events, and tournaments.
6. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate peak playing times and events.
7. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
8. A positive attitude, enthusiasm for the sport, and dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
