Physicist (f/m/d) for Detector Technology and Medical Imaging

Then come and join our global team as Physicist (f/m/d) for Detector Technology and Medical Imaging to shape the future of medical imaging and apply your expertise in detector physics to innovative technologies.

This is a full- or part-time position, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

You will develop and verify innovative detector concepts using experiments and simulations.You will be responsible for the integration and release of CT detectors and their components.You will define image quality-relevant specifications and ensure compliance with them.Your responsibilities will include analyzing complex data, independently organizing subprojects, and supporting project management with technical matters.You will also support product ramp-up, assist manufacturing processes, and develop test procedures and specifications for new detector technologies such as photon-counting detectors.

Your qualifications and experience:

You hold a university degree (Master’s or Diploma) in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a related field.You have extensive professional experience in research and development of detectors for ionizing radiation or medical imaging devices, ideally with experience in photon-counting detectors.You possess in-depth knowledge of detector and X-ray physics.You are highly skilled in simulation techniques and proficient in using simulation tools.You have strong expertise in measurement technology and experience analyzing complex measurement or image data.You have knowledge of converter materials for X-ray detectors, such as direct converters or perovskites.Your profile is complemented by good programming skills, proficiency in data analysis software tools, and knowledge of electronics and electronic signal processing.

You have strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to quickly grasp and precisely understand complex relationships.You work independently, in a structured way, and are a strong team player – you take responsibility and contribute constructively to the team.You communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively – in both German and English.

Depending on the experience and qualifications background of the applicant, task enrichment into the area above the general pay scale is possible.
