The University of Kansas Health System, Olathe Campus, is seeking a full-time OBGYN who will join an established team of 6 OBGYNs in delivering compassionate, quality of care to the Southwest Kansas City community. Job Duties:

Provide full scope ambulatory obstetrical and gynecologic careProvide contraceptive counseling and family planning servicesProvide inpatient obstetrical carePerform surgical procedures, including hysteroscopies, laparoscopies, and hysterectomies; robotic platform available, but experience not required for positionExpected call rotation is no more than 1:5. In addition to coverage of the groups’ OBGYN patients, call duties include emergency department care and family medicine back-upOpportunity exists for full time hospitalist position

Required Qualifications:

MD, DO or equivalentBoard certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and GynecologyEligible for licensure in Kansas

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience and expertise in obstetric and gynecological care

 Olathe Campus: 

For more than 70 years, Olathe Hospital has expanded its services to meet the growing needs of the community. Today, it is located on one of the largest campuses in the Midwest; 250-acres at 151st Street and I-35 in southern Johnson County, Kansas. Olathe Hospital is licensed for 300 beds. The Birth Place at Olathe Hospital opened in 2017.  It is a beautiful building with visibility from I-35.

Four-story obstetrics wing with a level II neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) featuring secure, webcam-enabled nurseries; NICU rooms where a parent can stay overnight with their baby; and luxury family suitesPrivate, suite-like rooms, with whirlpool tubs and queen-sized bed to accommodate entire familyMultiple family rooms with kitchenettes4 Physician sleep roomsPhysician lounge with labor central monitoring systemSeparate dictation roomsStaff rejuvenation room with massage chair

 Building Layout:

NICU (2nd Floor): 11 rooms, including 1 twin pod, 7 additional shelled rooms for expansionLabor and Delivery (3rd Floor): 15 rooms, and nurseryRecovery (4th Floor): 19 rooms, 8 shelled rooms for expansion, 2 Operating Rooms
