The OB Hospitalist will be responsible for: + Management of labor up to and including delivery, as requested by generalist physicians + Urgent postpartum care as requested by the assigned physician + Providing back-up and consultation for midwifery service + Caring for all unassigned patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room + Triage of all patients who present to the unit unless directly admitted + When requested, assist in cesarean deliveries + Communicate with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults & actions when requested + Level III maternity center + Level III NICU + 24hr dedicated OB anesthesia + rapidly growing suburban market with mostly private payer mix + Carmel, Indiana, is located minutes north of Indianapolis, and it’s been named one of the “Best Places to Live in America” by Money magazine and Niche.com.
