Physician Informaticist
Community Health Systems
**Job Summary**
The Physician Informaticist is responsible for facilitating content, design and workflow decisions so as to ensure safe, effective and efficient use of Clinical Applications. This role focuses on standardization of content, continual optimization, user experience, data capture, quality reporting and outcomes.
**Essential Functions**
+ Advisory Councils and Committees
+ Co-chair and facilitate advisory committees for providers, nurses and other clinicians so as to solicit feedback in the design and implementation of changes to content or workflows
+ Communicate and disseminate changes in content and workflows
+ Collaborate with organizational leaders to align strategic, operational and quality goals
+ Content and workflow management
+ Development and maintenance of standardized, evidence-based specialty specific templates and clinical content to support the delivery of safe quality care.
+ Design, sequencing and implementation of tasks and interactions that clinicians follow to document and deliver safe quality care
+ Champion the utilization of standardized content and workflow
+ End-user Support and Engagement
+ Serve as a resource for end-users by addressing related questions and recommendations
+ Assist in the development and dissemination of training and educational material
**Qualifications**
+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) required or
+ Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required or
+ Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) or in Nursing – Nurse Practitioner (MSN-NP) required
+ 3+ years of clinical experience in either primary care, urgent care, ER or hospitalist roles
+ Use of one or more EMR systems and related applications in primary care, urgent care, ER or hospitalist setting
+ Leadership experience and development of adult learning or training program materials preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and care delivery practices.
+ Working knowledge of EMR systems and clinical applications.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
+ Familiarity with change management principles and techniques.
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ Active medical license in state of employment required
