**Overview** **This position is located at 96TH MDG, Eglin AFB, FL.** + **Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.** + **Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.** **Responsibilities** As a Physician (Family Medicine), you will: **Duties** + Serves as a Physician (Family Practice) in a Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). The purpose of the position is to apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients. + Provide advice by telephone and/or in person to other physicians, non-physician providers, and nursing and para-professional staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non-urgent medical problems. + Performs emergency services or crisis intervention, including life-saving emergency procedures when necessary. + Diagnoses illnesses and prescribes and administers healthcare treatment plans for people suffering from injury or disease.
