As the Physician Biller, you will be asked to ensure self-pay accounts are billed in a timely and accurate fashion. Performs daily review of self-paying patients using system-generated face sheets, reports and computer-assisted eligibility applications. Interact with hospital staff, physicians, outside agencies, patients and their family members to ensure effective guest relations. Duties and Responsibilities: + Experience with medical terminology, electronic claim submission, accounts receivable follow-up and writing appeals is a must. + An ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, and possess exceptional attention to detail. + Review all face sheets for data accuracy and completion. + When necessary, check for insurance information using computer/electronic eligibility applications. + Make corrections, if necessary, on facesheets and on the computer system. + Call patients as needed, to verify insurance information and update the system. + Assist patients with setting up budget arrangements. + Performs duties as assigned Required: + Physician Medical Practice billing experience required. + Strong computer (eClinicalWorks and Meditech) experience + Customer-service orientation + High school diploma required. + Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
