Job Description: McLeod Health is seeking an experienced and highly dedicated Physician Assistant to join our growing Orthopedic Spine team at McLeod Orthopedics Seacoast, located in Little River, SC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Deliver specialized care for spine patients, including evaluation of axial and radicular spine conditions, postoperative management, and conservative treatment planning. Collaborate closely with supervising physician Eric D. Nabors, MD – Orthopedics/Orthopedic Spine Surgery, by supporting a high-volume spine practice. Team Composition: Part of a robust orthopedic group with 22 providers (physicians and APPs) and ancillary staff. Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Patient Mix: 90% outpatient spine care with 10% OR support. Daily Patient Volume: Approximately 15–25 spine patients per day. Participate in a structured onboarding process, including shadowing, EMR training (EPIC), imaging review, and spine care pathways. Call Schedule: Pooled APP model for coverage. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years as a Physician Assistant in a clinical setting, with a strong background in orthopedic or neurosurgical spine care. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care. Proficiency in interpreting spine imaging, managing postoperative spine pathways, and conducting urgent spine assessments. Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Commitment to optimizing clinic flow and enhancing patient access.
