Ascension Medical Group is looking for a Physician Assistant for our Cardiothoracic Surgery Nocturnist APP team. Incoming APP's would be involved with the post-op management of the Cardiac & Thoracic surgery patients in both the critical care ICU and step down units. The APP’s on this team are part of a collaborative team model of care consisting of advanced providers and physicians who provide care for post-surgical inpatients. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Vincent to provide medical services to patients. **Position Highlights:** + Evaluates and treats cardiac & thoracic surgery patients in the immediate pre and post-operative setting and serves as the primary admitting service. + Obtains complete histories and performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings. + Facilitates the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care and services. **Responsibilities:** + Obtains patient history and performs assessment.
