At Cedars-Sinai, our colorectal surgery department is committed to offering innovative surgical options for various intestinal disorders, ranging from irritable bowel disease to colorectal cancer. Our experienced colorectal surgeons collaborate closely with each patient to identify the most suitable treatment, enabling them to resume their favorite activities.
We take pride in being one of the few centers in the region offering brand new robotic colon and rectal surgery. These powerful procedures allow us to preserve more healthy tissue, significantly improving quality of life post-surgery. As one of Southern California’s busiest colorectal surgery centers, we also specialize in complex revision surgeries that are not commonly available elsewhere.

Job Responsibilities
As a Physician Assistant within our Colorectal Surgery department, you will:
Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring all preoperative and postoperative protocols are strictly followedConduct patient assessments and develop comprehensive care plansCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver world-class patient careProvide patient education regarding surgical procedures and recoveryParticipate in outpatient clinics, managing follow-up care and addressing any patient concernsMaintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and medical recordsStay informed about the newest developments in colorectal surgery to effectively implement guidelines.QualificationsJob RequirementsA graduate degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.Current California PA license.DEA License required.National PA certification.Advanced Life Support CertificationExperience in colorectal surgery practice and robotic procedures is highly preferred.
