Wonderful opportunity to provide care to pre & post liver, kidney, pancreas, & intestinal transplant patients!  It is a busy unit given the volume of transplants performed each year at Henry Ford Hospital (approximately 300 transplants per year).

Henry Ford Hospital is the largest transplant program in the state of Michigan, as well as one of the most storied and respected transplant program in the country The cultural is one of collegiality, professionalism, clinically stimulating and cutting-edge practices and research-oriented approach to enhance innovation in order to keep the HFH Transplant Program one of the most progressive transplant programs in the world.Fast paced environment which promotes autonomy and clinical expertise. The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Specialty/Invasive NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree or Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program OR Master’s degree in nursing.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Requires Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National. Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) OR Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse.Current BLS. 

Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.
