Physician Assistant – Continuing Care

Location: Temple, TX
Facility: Baylor Scott & White – Continuing Care Hospital & Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Patient Census: 8–12 patients

Position Overview

Baylor Scott & White Continuing Care in Temple, TX is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our collaborative care team. This role supports patients across a continuing care hospital and skilled nursing facility, with a manageable patient census and strong physician support. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

Patient follow-ups and daily rounding

Admissions and ongoing care management

Hospital consults

Central line and PICC line placement

Collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Potential mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities

Call Schedule

Shared call coverage between APPs and Physicians

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

Licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas

NCCPA certified or eligible

Strong clinical and communication skills

Interest in continuing care, post-acute care, or SNF settings

New graduates encouraged to apply

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program

- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
       Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.

       Physician Assistants (PA): Must have a PA license through the state of TX.
