This employment opportunity is being recruited by Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego on behalf of Children's Specialists of San Diego.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Physician Assistant provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education to children and families in clinical, school, and in-home settings under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Physician Assistant functions as an advanced practice provider, clinical leader, educator, researcher, care coordinator and consultant. Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies. Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's DegreeCompletion of a Physician Assistant ProgramCurrent California Physician Assistant licenseCurrent BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHADEA license for positions that require the writing of scheduled medications (within 1 year of employment)Medicare Billing number (NPI-National Provider Identifier) (Must obtain within 6 months of employment)Certification: Physician Assistant, National Commission (w/in 1 year of employment)Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff ServicesSuccessfully complete the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned division

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of clinical experience with emphasis in specialty area2 years of experience in a direct clinical care position with emphasis in specialty areaFormal in-service education and/or lecturing skillsBilingual


The expected hiring range for this position is $67.58 to $92.93
