Responsibilities

The Department of Clinical Genomics at Mayo Clinic is seeking a Physician with expertise in Clinical Trials to combine clinical and research careers at Mayo.  This is a position for a board-certified MD or MD/PhD candidate highly skilled in the clinical practice and in clinical trials involving genetics and genomic patients. The ideal candidate should have a broad understanding of genetics and genomics and expertise in integrating novel technologies into clinical practice. The candidate must possess clinical experience as well as proficiency directing and designing clinical trials, facilitating and promoting early feasibility and first-in-human clinical trials, providing oversight and leadership of a departmental clinical trials office, securing extramural funding, and a strong publication record.  A proven record of collaborative efforts is desirable.

The Department of Clinical Genomics in Rochester, MN is part of the Enterprise Clinical Genomics Department across all Mayo Clinic sites. The department is committed to transforming clinical practice by developing, analyzing, and rapidly diffusing innovative solutions to deliver high value care to our patients. Clinical Genomics research has a well-developed infrastructure that supports conducting early feasibility and multi-center basic and translational research and clinical trials that includes staff with expertise in study development, assessment, start-up, and conduct. The Clinical Genomics research portfolio at Mayo Clinic is supported by NIH grants, foundation awards, and philanthropic gifts. The Department of Clinical Genomics partners with several centers within Mayo Clinic, including the Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery, the Center for Regenerative Medicine, the Center for Clinical and Translational Science, and the Center for Individualized Medicine.

Compensation Detail

The minimum starting salary for Medical specialties may range from $202,000 to $663,037. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
