**Location:** Redfield, SD **Worker Type:** Regular **Work Shift:** Day Shift (United States of America) Redfield Community Memorial Hospital and Clinic is seeking a qualified individual to join our team! **Position Highlights** **STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:** **Consistent with Community Memorial Hospital’s Mission, the Clinic Physician provides compassionate services as necessary to fulfill professional and patient care obligations. Physician will perform duties as are usual and customary for primary care physicians in the community.** **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** **Functions in such a way as to live out the Mission Statement of Community Memorial Hospital .** **Shows sufficient and ongoing knowledge of Medical Center wide safety practices and those that directly relate to his or her responsibilities.** **Performs duties as are usual and customary for primary care physicians in the community. Services will include, but not be limited to: routine physicals, suture of wounds, community speaking engagements, lumps, bumps, bruises, flu, congestive heart disease etc.** **Teaches self-care, self-treatment techniques, and appropriate usage and care devices to patients effectively.** **Comply with all Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations as set forth by contract.** **Performs patient care consistent with Community Memorial Hospital’s quality goal of meeting or exceeding the needs and expectations of those we serve.** **Avoids waste and inappropriate use of supplies, and perform duties with concern for the financial impact of the organizations.** **Prescribes medications as deemed appropriate.** **Performs duties as per scope of duties outlined in physician contract.** **Maintains clinic schedule.** **MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** **Develops and maintains contacts with others to effectively plan and coordinate interrelated activities.** **Maintains efficient workflow by making timely requests to others and responding quickly to requests.** **Offers helpful suggestions for organizational and departmental operations and seeks new and more efficient ways to handle routine activities.** **Maintains professional standards by maintaining confidentiality, participating in meetings, and attending CME annually.** **EDUCATION:** **Completion of a medical accredited program from a state board of healing arts receiving medical state license in the proper state needed.** **LICENSURE:** **License to practice medicine without restrictions within the state of South Dakota.** **SKILLS:** **Interpersonal and communication skills needed to maintain and develop a rapport with physicians, patients, visitors, co-workers and others** At Avera, the way you are treated as an employee translates into the compassionate care you deliver to patients and team members.
