This is an hourly position. Overview At OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, our multidisciplinary team of clinicians is focused on providing high-quality care to their physical, occupational, and speech therapy patients in the acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings. Our team approach to rehab creates an environment that promotes engagement and collaboration. POSITION SUMMARY: The Physical Therapist Assistant, under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist, assists in administering the Physical Therapists' treatment plan. Administers and monitors patient's response to therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and other treatments in accordance with the physical therapists treatment plan. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Licensure/Certifications: State license as Physical Therapist Assistant Other Licenses/Certifications: CPR certification within 90 days of hire Skills/knowledge: Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills to work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information. Analytical ability to identify and report changes in patient's condition to a physical therapist. Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.
