About the Role:
We’re seeking a dedicated inpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of highly skilled professionals. Our therapists specialize in treating patients with acute neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and multi-system conditions across the acute care continuum.

Acute care presents unique challenges as patients are often medically complex, with rapidly changing conditions that require quick clinical decision-making, strong communication skills, and adaptability. Therapists must balance early mobilization with medical stability, navigate discharge planning, and collaborate closely with the medical team to ensure safe, effective, and timely care.

You will work side-by-side with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, evidence-based, and patient-centered care that makes a meaningful difference in patients’ recovery and outcomes.

Whether you're a new graduate or an experienced clinician, you'll find a supportive team and a culture that encourages growth, innovation, and excellence.

Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and working within their scope of practice as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Physical Therapy Assistant implements rehabilitative programs that improve or restore physical function, alleviate pain and prevent dysfunction in patients with impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function and health status from injury, disease or other causes.

What You’ll Do:

Deliver hands-on, effective treatment plans with clinical excellence

Motivate and educate patients and families throughout their recovery journey

Keep accurate, timely documentation to support quality care

Meet productivity goals while contributing to department-wide improvement initiatives

Stay sharp through ongoing training and knowledge-sharing

What You Bring:

Associate’s Degree from an accredited PTA program

Active Massachusetts PTA license

1+ year of experience in a healthcare setting

Strong communication, critical thinking, and tech skills

A commitment to compassionate, high-quality care

At Lahey Clinic, you’ll find a supportive environment, opportunities to grow, and the chance to make a difference—one patient at a time.
