ChristianaCare is seeking a full-time Inpatient Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated rehabilitation team at the Newark campus, the largest in our network. This campus supports several specialty-certified programs, including:

Level I Trauma CenterComprehensive Stroke Treatment CenterRegional Center of Excellence in Heart and Vascular CareCancer Care ServicesWe are recruiting a Physical Therapy Assistant to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping individuals recover from injury or illness through personalized and compassionate rehabilitative care.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Implement treatment programs developed by a Physical TherapistContinually assess patients’ response to treatment and modifies the treatment plan and goals in consultation with the supervising Physical TherapistCompletes all documentation within the scope of practiceProgresses patients as appropriate towards timely completion of goals established at evaluationCommunicates patient’s goals, status and equipment needs to the clinical teamProvides patient and family education and trainingSupervises PTA students during clinical affiliation programsEducation and Experience Requirements:Associates Degree in Physical Therapist AssistantLicensure in the State of Delaware as a Physical Therapy AssistantCPR CertificationAPTA preferredChristianaCare Offers:Medical, dental and vision coverage starting on your first day of employment32 Days PTO and PTO Cash Out ProgramTwelve weeks of paid parental leave403(b) with competitive Employer Match and a Defined Contribution Retirement Plan
