Location: Stillwater Center, Dayton, OH
Facility Type: Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID)
Shift: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Duration: Contract (with potential for extension)


Amergis Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at Stillwater Center, a county-operated facility serving individuals with profound developmental disabilities and complex medical needs. The PT will play a vital role in improving mobility, function, and quality of life for residents through individualized therapy plans.
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, and coordination Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, occupational therapy, and speech therapy Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards Educate staff and caregivers on mobility techniques and assistive devices Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to long-term care strategies Active Ohio Physical Therapist License Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care, SNF, or ICF/IID setting preferred Strong understanding of developmental disabilities and neurological conditions CPR certification (BLS) Excellent communication and documentation skills Serve a vulnerable and inspiring population Work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment Enjoy consistent daytime hours with no weekends or holidays required Make a meaningful impact on residents’ independence and quality of life Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs  *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.  About Amergis Amergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has served our clients and communities by connecting people to the work that matters since 1988.
