As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will create a healing atmosphere that enhances the Cleveland Clinic treatment experience. You will assist in providing highly specialized treatment for bones, joints, muscles and tendons specifically designed for the unique needs and health backgrounds of your patients. In many cases, these patients are dealing with pain, so remaining sensitive and compassionate is important in helping them regain their health. Ultimately, your efforts can provide the initial drive and support they need to continue forward in their healing journey.
A caregiver in this position works 7:30am—4:00pm| Rotate from Main Campus or Children’s Rehab| Weekend requirements| Holiday shifts available.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Evaluate and conduct prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ conditions.
Establish, revise and evaluate plans of care while involving the patient and/or their family.
Perform therapy interventions.
Supervise activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, students and other caregivers.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Experience in a clinical area
Pediatric or acute care experience
