Summary:
UNC Therapy Services, the outpatient orthopedic therapy division of the Rehabilitation Services Department at UNC Medical Center, is now accepting applications for a Physical Therapist II. This will be a split position between our Meadowmont Wellness and Spine Center locations in Chapel Hill, NC. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services to a wide range of patient populations, including the entire spectrum of orthopedic, sports-related injuries, postoperative care, spine, and geriatrics.
In this position, you'll join a collaborative team of physical therapists working in a dynamic environment.
As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based evaluations, ongoing assessments, planning, and treatment that span the entire spectrum of dysfunction and disability within the outpatient orthopedic environment. You will engage in one-on-one care with 45-minute evaluations and treatments, ensuring a patient-centered and personalized approach. You will also complete the necessary administrative tasks to facilitate the patient care experience. We also encourage involvement in continuing education, community outreach, process improvement, and program development.
Ideal candidates should possess exceptional time management, communication, and organizational skills. OCS. COMT, MDT or FAAOMPT are preferred given the expectations of this role. The selected candidate will work Monday through Friday. We provide a range of clinical scheduling options to help you balance your professional role with your personal well-being needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Completes PT documentation in the medical record per department guidelines and completes department records for billing and statistics
2. Evaluates Patient, sets Physical Therapy (PT) treatment goals, devises a PT treatment plan and manages resources needed to perform treatment plan to accomplish the goals set for the patient.
3. Manages PT caseload with efficiency and efficacy
4. Plans and coordinates clinical programs
5. Provides clinical supervision and teaching for multiple students and/or staff. Plans orientation, caseload, and other learning activities. Provides regular feedback and coaching. Evaluates the learner's performance.

**Education Requirements:**
● Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
**Licensure/Certification Requirements:**
● Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
● BLS
**Professional Experience Requirements:**
● Five (5) years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, including one (1) year in the specialty field.
