As Senior Physical Therapist, your responsibility is to plan, administer and oversee physical therapy programs to relieve pain, restore or enhance function and prevent disability following disease or injury. In this role, you will help facilitate a welcoming, healing environment, ensuring each person feels fulling supported, educated and safe throughout care. You will also assist with additional responsibilities, such as orientating caregivers, observing team competency, documenting reviews and developing programs and protocols. This position offers an excellent way to boost motivation, improve treatment outcomes and leave a positive impression on your community every day.
**A caregiver in this position works days 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.**
A caregiver who excels in this role, will:
+ Supervise PTA'S, ATC'S, Rehab Aides, Secretarial support, Students, Volunteers and designates duties to the Team in accordance with State of Ohio guidelines.
+ Maintain standards of care as set by the American Physical Therapy Association regarding procedures and professional ethics.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's Degree. Graduate of an approved school of physical therapy
+ Current State license as Physical Therapist (PT)
+ Current certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
+ 1 year of experience preferred
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to walk and climb stairs without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling.
+ Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level defined by 1993 Leonard Matheson and Ministry of Labor.
+ Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program.
+ Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient pulse.
+ Visual acuity to observe patient's gross and fine motor movements in order to analyze these movements and to read all patient monitors.
+ Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families.
+ Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
**Pay Range**
Minimum Annual Salary: $76,540.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $116,747.50
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education.
