As a Physical Therapist, you will utilize various exercises to increase strength, range of motion, endurance and coordination to relieve pain, avoid injury or regain function. In this role, you will provide physical therapy services, including evaluation and treatment, to adult and geriatric patients in the acute care setting with the opportunity to float to other CCF facilities. This position requires close physical interaction with patients, offering numerous opportunities to truly connect with patients and build stronger relationships. Often, these patients are dealing with pain, so sensitivity is essential. Giving patients the drive and support they need to work hard and regain their health is equally important. **This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working day shifts varying between 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements.** **_In this role, weekday and weekend coverage is primarily needed from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m._** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. + Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. + Establish, revise and evaluate plans of care to problems identified and involve the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires. + Perform physical therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the patient's age and condition. + Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support caregivers. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's Degree or certificate + Graduate of a Physical Therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association + Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Comfortable working with both medically frail and orthopaedic patients Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of PT experience + Clinical area experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
