Allied Universal® is hiring a Physical Security Systems Engineer. The Physical Security Systems Engineer will support all physical security systems, including access control, CCTV operations, and dedicated alarm systems on a global scale. The Security Systems Engineer role requires technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The Engineer will also serve as the point of contact for training users to operate the access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. Additionally, the position involves supporting the Security System team for a high-profile customer, assisting with security programs and troubleshooting globally, and working closely with Site Managers.

 

Payrate: USD $ 47.26 / hour

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical and Operational Support:

Monitor system health and identify issuesCoordinate hardware and software changes with vendors and internal teamsMaintain documentation for procedures, equipment, and inventoryManage security equipment and new system deploymentsSupport and troubleshoot system outagesPerform system health checks, programming, and integrationsResearch and recommend new technologiesEnsure compliance with security policies and best practicesCoordinate radio and repeater maintenance

Project Management and System Integration:

Plan and oversee security system projectsTrack project progress and provide status updatesReview architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawingsCollaborate with IT and facility management teamsDesign, program, integrate, and troubleshoot security systems

Training and Compliance:

Develop and conduct training programs for end-users and support teamsProvide mentorship and training to team membersPerform audits, manage data, and generate performance reportsStay updated with the latest security technologies and trends

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

Associate’s degree in Security Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent experienceProven expertise in security systems management, including Access Control, CCTV, PSIM, and hosted security solutionsStrong knowledge of databases, Windows-based systems, and network technologyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong documentation and attention-to-detail skillsExperience in project management, building monitoring systems, and structured, process-driven environmentsAbility to interpret and apply technical drawings effectivelyStrong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication abilitiesSkilled in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and managing multiple projects independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or related field of studyTechnical certifications in electrical installation and repairSecurity/IT certifications
