We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager of Physical Security and Safety to join our Regional Workplace team. This role is responsible for establishing and overseeing all aspects of physical security across company.
Key duties include working with security personnel to design and maintain standards for access control and camera surveillance systems with established standards for public and private areas and developing comprehensive executive protection and employee travel safety programs including a helpline and travel advisories. The position also entails creating and implementing Emergency Action Plans, standardizing safety equipment (Cintas, AED, fire extinguishers), coordinating event security, managing critical security communications, and establishing employee security training. Furthermore, this role is crucial for investigating potential threats, collaborating with workplace operations on visitor management. This position will also be responsible for managing the overall security and safety budget, including evaluating and implementing new security technologies. This individual is responsible for safeguarding company Executive Leadership team, assets, and HQ employees.
Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities
•Program Management - Work in partnership with Facilities, People Culture, Legal, IT, and other relevant functions to develop and implement a comprehensive program
•Define physical security standards and policies ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and business requirements
•Site Safety and Security Assessments and Mitigation - Develop tools and execute processes to conduct ongoing physical security risk assessments across our facilities and operations. Develop and execute mitigation strategies for identified risks and vulnerabilities, using a risk-based approach
•Access and Security Systems Management - Oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and monitoring of physical security systems (i.e., badge readers, camera systems) and other relevant systems, measures, and programs in alignment with security standards and strategies
•Safety Training and Awareness - Champions and coordinates the Security Awareness Program resulting in a strong Security Culture. Continuously assesses effectiveness of employee training on physical security
•Travel Safety – responsible for travel risk management, which includes travel risk assessment, travel tracking, and incident response
•Security Project Management - Responsible for the project management of physical security system installations or upgrades in collaboration with project sponsors and vendors
•Incident Management - Lead investigations of security incidents, breaches, and losses. Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for corrective action. Develop and maintain effective incident response protocols
•Security and Risk Advisory - be the physical security subject matter expert by providing consulting and advice to internal stakeholders regarding various aspects of workplace security issues including, but not limited to, access and technology
