Physical Education Teacher Responsibilities: • Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and ethical standards to advance the charism, philosophy, mission, vision, and goals of the school. • Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. • Coordinate students in physical education activities. • Plan physical education program to promote development of student’s physical fitness and motor skills. • Demonstrate appropriate use of instructional technology and other educational tools to enhance and extend instruction. • Organize and prepare resources for students. Maintain inventory of equipment and order new equipment as needed. • Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with parents. • Plan instruction carefully and implement effectively. • Collaborate with peers to enhance the work environment and support instructional planning. • Maintain confidentiality regarding school matters. • Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Diocesan Employee Handbook. • May be required to assist with AM or PM traffic duties as well as monitoring of student lunch and recess. Athletic Director Responsibilities: - Organize the school’s after-school sports programs including soccer, basketball, flag football, lacrosse, volleyball and track. - Recruit volunteer coaches from the school community and provide training related to coaching duties. - Publicize all upcoming sports opportunities to students and families. - Oversee scheduling of games and practices. You do not need to be Catholic to work at our school. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree - Valid California Teaching Credential - 1-2 years of physical education teaching experience
