Shoots video for news reportsConfers with news, weather, & sports staff to discuss assignments, logistics and shot requirementsSets up, composes and executes video shotsMaintains video equipmentEdits video clips for television broadcasts and eMedia contentOperates live microwave truck and TVU Backpack gear for remote situationsConducts interviews with dignitaries, business managers, elected officials, as well as regular citizens, and homeless peopleListens to scanners for breaking news eventsResponds quickly and shoots video in intense situationsPerforms other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills

High school diplomaFluency in EnglishExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to ask questions in a professional mannerMinimum one year experience operating video recording equipmentProficiency with all electronicsProficiency with video editing software – Adobe PremierAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyFlexibility to work any shift
