This can be discussed further during the interview process. + The salary range for position is commensurate. Final salary will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Job Summary: The individual selected for this position will serve as the primary photographer for TTI Photographer, producing the majority of photographic content used on the TTI website, in marketing materials, and across interactive media platforms. This role also involves collaborating with the TTI Communications video team by capturing still images during video shoots and providing on-site support as needed. Additionally, the photographer will offer specialized photographic services to TTI researchers, including artistic, studio and scientific photography. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon the availability of funding and satisfactory job performance.Essential Duties: PHOTOGRAPHY: Plan and coordinate photo shoots, including location scouting, determining need for lighting, background and equipment necessary. Work with graphic designers and creative director to develop concepts for photos used in a variety of print and electronic media. Photo assignments may include special event coverage, documentation of research, lab sessions, conferences, studio portraits, and still life compositions. 50% ARCHIVE AND MAINTAIN PHOTO DATABASE: Properly archive and document photos obtained from photo shoot assignments. This includes downloading digital images to personal computer and/or external hard drives, transferring files to the TTI Photoshelter photo database, documenting details from shoot, assigning keywords, and applying any necessary digital adjustments in Adobe Photoshop. Respond to client requests for file retrieval and photo searches. 25% PROJECT COORDINATION: Manage workflow. Manage scheduling. Provide supervisors with regular progress reports. Entering work orders and tracking time in a billable system 10% EXTERNAL SHOOTS: Conduct shoots for other system clients as requested 5% VIDEOGRAPHY: Provide back-up to video staff as needed. 5% Other duties as assigned. 5% Required Education and Experience: + Bachelors or equivalent combination of training and experience. + 2 years related work experience in commercial, news, or industrial photography. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Required: Must have strong organizational skills, effective oral communication and writing skills and have a positive public relations attitude. Must be willing to assume additional responsibilities as needed. Must be punctual, reliable, attentive to detail, and committed to excellence. + Must be able to work well with others and work independently in the absence of specific instructions. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Preferred Qualifications: + Communicate with a wide variety of people face to face and over the phone. + 5-10 years experience in photography of multiple scenarios in various situations such as portraits, formal events, technical labs, and social media. + Video shooting and editing skills + Marketing and communications strategy experience + Additional experience as an independent photographer or supervisor.
