Grand Hyatt Nashville is hiring a Phone Operator! Join our team to provide exceptional guest service, manage calls efficiently, and support hotel operations. Compensation: Starting at $16.00 per hour, Full-Time

The PBX Operator ensures smooth communication throughout the hotel, serving as the first point of contact for guests and callers. This role shapes the guest experience and maintains a professional, welcoming environment at all times.

HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE

Answer and route all incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls quickly and professionally. Provide friendly and accurate telephone and message services to hotel guests and staff. Handle all paging and radio communications efficiently. Assist with clerical tasks such as filing folios, registration cards, typing, proofreading, and sorting mail. Maintain the guest telephone index, tracking checked-in, checked-out, and stay-over guests. Record messages and call information, including toll charges, as needed. Use systems such as bells or buzzers to alert staff throughout the hotel. Other duties as assigned.

KEY STRENGTHS FOR SUCCESS

Clear and professional verbal communication; strong listening skills. Ability to multitask effectively, switching between phone, computer, and clerical duties. High attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and call handling. Professional, courteous, and guest-focused demeanor. Guest/customer service experience preferred.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Experience in guest services or customer-facing roles is preferred. Familiarity with telephone operations, switchboards, or clerical tasks is a plus.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
