Position Description:

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Open Pit Sampler to join our Phoenix Operations team. 

The Open Pit Sampler will work in an outdoor, mine setting, which may include exposure to large equipment, proximity to highwalls, working on uneven surfaces, working in extreme temperatures. A successful candidate must demonstrate safety as a priority. Personal protective equipment is required when performing this work. 

Responsibilities:

Collect Daily Open Pit Sampling, Trench sampling, Grab Samples & Proof Samples.Keep current with maps and tags of drill patterns and BMM Movements and coordinate with drill blast Engineer.Provide Blast Movement Monitoring (BMM) Support, laying out BMM movement for daily shots and retrieving BMM movement daily and provide information to ore control geologist.Keep current with process sampling as needed.Provide survey support and relief when needed.Organize and prioritize daily workload for maximum efficiency.Perform other duties as required.  

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required.Ability to lift 50 pounds required.Ability to work alone with minimal supervision required.Capability to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivate required.Basic computer skills required.Valid driver’s license required.Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards required.Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions required.The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.Ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
