Phlebotomy Supervisor

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to join our team to manage several locations in and around Seattle, WA.  

 

Work Schedule: Hours vary Monday - Friday 7:00am to 7:00pm overtime and rotating weekends may be required 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

Supervise a team of (+25) phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices 

Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs 

Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary 

Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking 

Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisals 

Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions 

Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions 

Communicate effectively with internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management 

Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients 

Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices 

Provide resolution of any patient or client issues 

Perform, collect and prepare specimens when needed 

Travel to additional sites as necessary 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

1+ year of supervisory/management experience 

 

Additional Job Standards: 

Must have valid Washington issued Phlebotomy License or have an application for Phlebotomy License filed with Washington Department of Health at time of hire 

5+ years of experience as a phlebotomist 

Able to pass a standardized color blindness test 

Flexibility to work overtime as needed 

Exceptional customer service 

Strong communication skills; both written and verbal 

Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead others 

Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize duties 

Valid driver's license and good driving record 

Working knowledge of MS Office

Pay Range: $38.54 to $48.59 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.  

 

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
