About the Unit: Corewell Health Zeeland Lab is a high volume, fast paced environment with a dedicated customer service team. We have earned state and national recognition for safety, quality, and patient experience and are a Level III trauma center. Scope of Work: Inpatient and outpatient specimen collection. Specimen processing, including specimens brought to the laboratory by other departments. Use of electronic information system, including portable printers and positive patient identification devices. Answering telephones. Engaging with other departments in patient care. Sustain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Qualifications: + High School Diploma or equivalent is required + Graduate of a phlebotomy training program is preferred + 1 year of relevant experience dealing with the public, preferably in the medical or customer service field is preferred + Phlebotomy technician certification from National Health career Association is preferred note: this position's hours of work would be a combination of 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. or 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. and 2 weekends/month How Corewell Health cares for you + Comprehensive benefits package to meet your financial, health, and work/life balance goals.
