Job Description
Join a dynamic team at a leading healthcare facility as a Phlebotomist II. In this role, you will be a crucial member of the lab team, responsible for drawing blood, handling specimens, and providing excellent customer service to patients.
ResponsibilitiesGreet patients as they arrive at the lab and explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.Perform blood draws and other specimen collections using straight or butterfly needles.Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.Ensure all laboratory requisition forms match specimen tubes and verify test requisitions for accuracy.Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results to patients.Handle insurance, billing, and process samples efficiently.Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient information accurately.Essential SkillsPhlebotomy certification6+ months of phlebotomy experienceExperience in customer service in any settingProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of medical terminologyAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDEagerness to learn and take feedback positivelyAbility to work well with othersProven reliability and positive attendancePatient-first mindsetWork Environment
The position is based at Legacy Meridian Park in Tualatin, OR. This is a contract role initially slated for 3 months, with potential extensions up to 9 months. The work environment fosters a strong team culture, with opportunities for growth and movement within different departments. You may occasionally be required to float to nearby locations. Schedule is rotating mon - fri 5a-1:30p and 1p-9:30p and every other weekend
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.46/hr.
