Phlebotomist – Float Position Locations: Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, Temecula, Fallbrook, Moreno Valley, Perris, Hemet, Menifee Schedule: Full-time | Float role (daily location changes based on coverage needs) Experience Level: Intermediate Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Float Phlebotomist to support multiple patient service centers across the Southwest Riverside County region. This role requires flexibility, strong technical phlebotomy skills, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast‑paced environment. Daily site assignments may vary based on staffing needs and call‑outs in the area. Key Responsibilities + Perform high-quality venipuncture and blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles. + Collect, label, process, and store specimens according to established procedures. + Prepare specimens for transport, including centrifuging, splitting, freezing, and packaging based on test requirements. + Verify laboratory requisitions, computer labels, and patient information to ensure 100% accuracy and specimen integrity. + Clearly explain specimen collection procedures to patients in a courteous and professional manner. + Maintain a clean, safe work environment through proper decontamination and equipment maintenance. + Update patient records and document all collection activities accurately. + Answer phone inquiries and provide laboratory result information when appropriate. + Adhere to OSHA, DEP, and departmental safety regulations. + Attend all required annual trainings and maintain compliance certifications. + Provide workflow recommendations, assist with troubleshooting, and support training activities as needed. Minimum Qualifications + CPT certification (CDPH) – Required + BLS (AHA) – Required + High School Diploma or GED + Minimum 6 months of hands-on phlebotomy experience in a fast‑paced lab, hospital, or patient service center + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite + Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently across multiple locations Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Menifee, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.11 - $23.11/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
