Job Description
We are seeking a skilled phlebotomist to join our team in Hackensack on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for aliquoting and preparing samples once blood is drawn, supporting other phlebotomists on shift with post-blood draw sample management, and ensuring the proper use of centrifuge equipment.
ResponsibilitiesAliquot and prepare all samples after blood is drawn.Support phlebotomists on shift with handling samples post-blood draw.Utilize centrifuge to correctly process samples.Troubleshoot centrifuge instrument in case of issues.Advise phlebotomists on errors with tube types and recommend appropriate tubes for different tests.Essential SkillsPhlebotomy expertise.Proficient in sample processing and aliquoting.Experience with centrifuge operation.Knowledge of different specimen tubes.Experience in aliquoting/sample preparation for blood samples.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust have pediatrics experience.Work Environment
The phlebotomist will work part-time on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 11:30am. The work involves interactions with office physicians while representing a larger laboratory network. The position offers a Contract-to-Hire opportunity, providing exposure to a prominent diagnostic lab environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
