Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team as a float in Monmouth County. This role requires travel throughout the county, making it essential for candidates to have their own vehicle. The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of pediatric experience and demonstrate strong phlebotomy skills, as they will work with both geriatric and pediatric patients, as well as specialty practices. The position involves processing a variety of samples, including blood and pap smears, in high-volume and high-stress environments. Flexibility is crucial, as schedules may change weekly and shift adjustments could occur at short notice due to emergency situations.

ResponsibilitiesTravel throughout Mercer County to provide phlebotomy services.Perform blood draws and sample collection for geriatric and pediatric patients.Work with specialty practices to process different types of samples, such as blood and pap smears.Handle high-volume and high-stress situations with professionalism.Use straight needles efficiently, as they are more commonly used than butterfly needles.Adapt to changing schedules and emergency situations as needed.Essential SkillsPhlebotomy experince Proficiency in blood draw and sample collectionExperience with laboratory and sample processingStrong customer service skillsFamiliarity with pediatric and medical proceduresAdditional Skills & QualificationsOwn vehicle for travel within Mercer County1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferredBilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $21.00/hr.
