Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description
As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and customer-focused service. Your primary duties include receiving requisitions, performing venipuncture on patients of all ages, collecting and preparing non-blood specimens, and ensuring proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering. You will champion safety, compliance, and quality control in all procedures.
Responsibilities
Receive and process requisitions.Perform blood draws on patients, utilizing venipuncture techniques.Print and label samples accurately.Prepare samples for courier dispatch.Provide exceptional patient care and customer service.Collect and prepare non-blood specimens.Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.Maintain safety, compliance, and quality control standards.Essential Skills
Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draw techniques.Phlebotomy certification.Competence in venipuncture and specimen collection.Strong customer service skills.Understanding of the Order of Draw.Minimum of 2 years of experience in phlebotomy.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with straight needle blood draws.Ability to work as part of a team.Experience in specimen processing.Work Environment
The role involves traveling to different sites daily, mainly providing coverage as an in-office phlebotomist (IOP) inside various doctor offices alongside medical assistants and providers. Occasionally, you will cover at a Patient Service Center (PSC), a walk-in clinic for blood draws. On average, phlebotomists perform 30 blood draws a day or fewer. You will drive to only one site per day, with mileage reimbursement and paid travel time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwood, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $23.00/hr.
