Job Description
As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while executing traditional phlebotomy duties. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, including processing, centrifuging, splitting samples, and entering data using the LabCorp Touch system. This position primarily focuses on blood draws, which will make up approximately 70% of your work.
ResponsibilitiesPerform blood draws on patients of all ages, achieving around 120 draws daily.Enter orders and data accurately using the LabCorp Touch system.Process and ship specimens efficiently.Engage in data entry and confirm patient information.Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries professionally.Clean and restock laboratory supplies as needed.Collaborate with another phlebotomist at a busy patient service center.Essential SkillsProficiency in phlebotomy and venipuncture.Experience with centrifuge operations.Strong data entry skills.Excellent customer service abilities.Experience with medical records and specimen collection.Additional Skills & QualificationsAt least one year of active phlebotomy experience is preferred.Experience working with geriatric and pediatric patients is beneficial.CPT and BLS certifications are advantageous.Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Hospital experience is a plus.Work Environment
This role requires coverage between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to float between multiple locations including Irvine, Orange, and South Los Angeles. The position entails working in a laboratory and medical environment, standing for approximately 50% of the time. The training program lasts for two weeks and requires full-time attendance, with training locations in Wildomar, Tustin, and Los Angeles. Accommodations such as hotel stays may be provided if necessary. As a floater, you must be open to traveling to various locations, including between Manhattan Beach and Newport Beach.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.11 - $23.11/hr.
