Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our dynamic team. This role involves traditional phlebotomy tasks with an emphasis on processing, centrifuging, and splitting samples. A strong focus on customer service is essential, as well as proficiency in data entry using the LabCorp Touch system. The primary responsibility will be blood draws, which comprise 70% of the work.
ResponsibilitiesPerform blood draws on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric patients.Enter and process orders, ensuring accurate data entry and specimen handling.Call doctor offices to verify and confirm patient information.Process, split, and ship specimens efficiently.Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area.Collaborate with another phlebotomist in a busy patient service center environment.Complete approximately 120 draws daily.Essential SkillsPhlebotomy expertise, including venipuncture and blood draw techniques.Experience with centrifuge operation and specimen processing.Proficient in data entry and medical record management.Strong customer service skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAt least one year of active phlebotomy experience; more experienced candidates preferred.Pediatric and geriatric patient experience is highly preferred.CPT and BLS certifications are advantageous.Experience in a hospital setting or with externships is beneficial.Work Environment
This position is based in a patient service center, requiring coverage from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Employees must be open to floating between five locations, with travel from the person to Manhattan Beach. The role involves standing 50% of the time and working collaboratively in a team setting. The initial training program lasts two weeks, during which part-time employees must attend as full-time. Training takes place in Wildomar, Tustin, and Los Angeles. Hotel accommodations are provided if necessary. The work environment is fast-paced and requires adaptability to changing shifts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.11 - $23.11/hr.
