Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description The phlebotomist will primarily be using straight needles and will serve as an onsite representative at a doctor's office, ensuring the accurate and timely collection of specimens. Responsibilities + Be prepared to travel within a designated region to client assignments on short notice. + Greet customers appropriately and treat all customers in a courteous manner. + Ensure all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time. + Collect specimens according to established procedures and explain the venipuncture or other specimen collection process clearly and courteously. + Dispose of blood, biohazard fluids, tissue, and contaminated sharps in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and policies. + Enter patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into the computer and communicate with clients to confirm orders and verify test(s) ordered. + Package specimens for transport, store samples according to required temperature, label accurately, and follow procedures to maintain specimen integrity. Essential Skills + Phlebotomy certification + Proficiency with straight needle sticks + Blood draw and specimen collection + Venipuncture + 2+ years of experience in phlebotomy + Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma Work Environment The phlebotomist will perform services at doctor's offices, assisting a wide range of patients. The role operates on a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with the home office located at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
