Job Description

We are seeking a skilled phlebotomist who exhibits proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all age groups. The candidate should be adept at pediatric blood collections and managing difficult draws, particularly in medical office buildings. Additionally, the role requires a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety, along with the ability to effectively communicate its importance to other employees. The candidate will also be responsible for providing orientation and training to patient service technicians.

ResponsibilitiesCollect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques.Perform pediatric blood collections and manage difficult draws.Ensure compliance and safety standards are met and communicated effectively.Provide orientation and training for patient service technicians.Supervise interactions with minors, under the guidance of a supervisor or RN.Essential SkillsPhlebotomy proficiency, including venipuncture.Experience as a lab assistant and specimen processing.CPT I certification.Computer proficiency with lab systems such as Cerner.Strong customer service skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma.Available for on-call schedules, averaging 32 hours per week, with a range of 24-40 hours.Work Environment

This position is based in outpatient clinics located throughout North County, with various draw stations available. The work environment is dynamic and requires flexibility in schedule. You will be working in professional healthcare settings, focusing on patient interaction and specimen collection.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
