Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for medical testing, transfusions, donations, or research. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.

ResponsibilitiesPerform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures.Label and process specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.Maintain sterile and organized work environments.Verify patient identity and ensure proper documentation.Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate care.Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate sample collection.Essential SkillsPhlebotomy certification (FL CPT)2+ years of experience performing phlebotomy within a clinical or hospital settingExperience performing phlebotomy on cancer patient populationStrong communication and customer service skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in medical terminology and data entryKnowledge of using a centrifuge and butterfly needle techniquesWork Environment

This position is 100% onsite in a clinic with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
