Phlebotomist

Leading hospital in Harbor City is looking for a phlebotomist to join their team! CA Phlebotomy license is required. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain extensive experience!

Valid CPT LicenseAbility to work any shift, any day of the week 6+ months of inpatient or outpatient blood draw experience

Job Description

The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood in a fast paced environment, tagging each sample and then working closely with the lab to make sure that the proper samples are delivered for each patient. The successful candidate will also deliver excellent patient service, answer patient questions, act as a resource for patient information and strengthen the relationship between the patient and our entire medical facility.

Preparing patients before drawing bloodExplaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the processFollowing all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areasGathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubesVerifying patient information and labeling blood samples properlyAccurately updating patient information in the organization databaseHelping nervous or frightened patients remain calm during blood drawsWorking with supervising physicians and following their directions at all timesReceives specimens for other cases when delivered to the LaboratoryOther duties as assigned

This is a fully on-site position in Harbor City, California

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
