Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant to join our team in an onsite hospital setting in San Marcos. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in phlebotomy within acute hospital environments and be adept at working in a fast-paced setting. This role involves working closely with emergency department and inpatient patients, as well as transporting samples to and from onsite medical offices.

ResponsibilitiesPerform venipunctures and capillary punctures to obtain blood samples from patients.Label, process, and deliver specimens to the laboratory for testing.Ensure proper patient identification and maintain accurate records of all specimens collected.Assist with the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.Transport samples between the hospital and onsite medical offices as needed.Provide excellent patient care and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.Respond to call-outs and provide coverage for other shifts as required.Essential SkillsCertified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license.Previous phlebotomy experience in an acute hospital setting.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed.Work Environment

The position is based in San Marcos, CA, and is part-time, requiring work 3-4 days per week. The typical schedule is 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with availability for call-outs during other shifts, such as 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
