Phlebotomist - #Staff

The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a **_Phlebotomist_** to assist in conducting clinical research involving blood biomarker development. This individual will be integrated with a multidisciplinary research team and will be responsible for conducting protocolized blood collection in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Perform clinical procedures as required, including drawing blood, with prioritization of participant health and safety.
+ Manage and document all blood draw-related study activities, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of participant data.
+ Assess and document adverse events, implementing and documenting corrective actions as necessary.
+ Collaborate with the research team to prepare and submit study documents, such as protocols, consent forms, and progress reports, to IRBs and regulatory agencies.
+ Identify and resolve study process related issues, prioritizing the safety and well-being of participants.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Phlebotomy training and demonstrated proficiency
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Certification as a registered Phlebotomist by a nationally recognized agency is preferred (e.g., National Center for Competency Testing, American Medical Technologists, American Society for Clinical Pathology, American Society for Clinical Pathology, American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians, National Phlebotomy Association).
